Words From My Heart

I took this morning to pray that a root of bitterness doesn't take a hold of me.  I can't change people, but I can pray for them.  I have to see Jesus Christ for myself.  I will not allow the ways of other people to come between me and my God.  One thing that this cancer has taught me, life is too short to be wasted on frivolous things, gossip, unforgiveness, negativity, and the love of the world and worldly possessions.  When we die we leave them all to others.

I have learned, and the Lord teaches me everyday, only what we do in this life for Him will last.  I choose to live my life "positive" each day.  One of my favorite passage of Scripture is found in Psalm 3:3  "But You O Lord art a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of my head."
So I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from where my help comes from.  Cancer does not define me. I was bought, paid for, and redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.  This is not my battle it is His battle.  AND HE NEVER LOSES!

Whatever you out there are going through, KEEP THE FAITH!  Put your faith and trust in God.  Put no confidence in man (and that's people in general).  Put your faith and trust in God.  People will let you down, but Jesus will never fail you.  Don't live your life in bitterness, nor charge God foolishly because of the things you go through in life.  Trials and storms will come to us all.  None of us are exempt.  If you are living this Christian life, you too will be put through the fire.
Daniel was delivered "from the lions' den.  The 3 Hebrew boys was saved "in the furnace of fire". David faced Goliath, not because He was great, but because he trusted in the Almighty God of Israel.

Daily I'm praying for souls to be saved.  I may never lay eyes on some of these people, but God knows who they are.  The one true thing that thrills me is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  I love my family (near and far).  You are all my brothers and sisters.  We are to love one another genuinely.  You see, the world loves its' own.  Jesus Christ said, ""By this, shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another".  Saying you love someone, and showing you love someone are two different things.  Where do you fall between the two?

I pray daily for the love of God, and not to get side tracked by how I'm treated in this life.  Jesus said, "Remember, before they hated you, they hated Me".  The Bible states, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers us out of them all."  Brothers and Sisters, if you are going through a tough trial today, remember who is fighting your battle.  Be still and know that He is God!  He won't fail you.  We serve an omnipotent God!  There is nothing too hard for God!  Worry less, and pray more.    When things aren't going right in your life, pray to the One who will not only hear you, but grant your petitions (if you are praying according to His will).

I truly do not seek pity because I was diagnosed with cancer.  You see, I already know I've got the victory because I know the God (Jesus Christ) in whom I serve.  Hallejulah!  Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I to thee...In the Name of Jesus Christ, rise and walk!  Get up!  Rise up from where you are!  Refuse to be conquered by the lies of Satan.  Resist him (don't run...but stand firm in the faith of Jesus Christ and cast him out).  Declare that you are victorious in Jesus name!  Speak life....not death!  We are in the Lord's hands.

"Fear you not, for I am with you.  be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you; Yea, I will help you.  Yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness"

Trust Him....whatever you are going through.  He will not fail you!  Be encouraged today my friends.
