A BLESSING FROM GOD (HONORING REGINA SWARN)

"She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.  Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all.  Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain:  but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised.  Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own work praise her in the gates"

Proverbs 31: 26; 29-31

I have been blessed with many things in my life.  One of those blessings is my sister, Regina Swarn, who celebrates a birthday today.  I couldn't let this day pass without acknowledging one of the most sweetest, kindest, and gifted individuals that I know, who just so happens to be my sister.  And I love that, that she is my sister!  We have been through so many things together, but in the midst of both the good, and trying times, we have remained the best of friends.  We have recorded and done concerts together.  We share so many fond memories that still keeps us laughing and cracking up.  Whenever she starts work on a new project, whether it be a radio show, website launch, or musical endeavor, she always lets me in on it. I love that she still confides in me.

One thing that stands out about my sister is her love to reach out and help other people.  She works endlessly to come up with new projects with others in mind.  I was so privileged to work as her Personal Assistant during her tenure at ICONA PRO RADIO.  She made me a part of the team, and I loved every minute of it.  When I got too sick to work last year because of my breast cancer treatment, she still generously supported me with both funds, encouragement, and prayers.  There were some tough days that I went through, and only hearing her voice, made all the difference.  Though she never lets the dust settle under her feet, she was never too busy when I texted and needed prayer.

Her love for animals is unmatched, and as a matter of fact, when I’m working here on my farm I often think about her.  She would love the way that I now too, love animals.  I just smile when I think of this because I’ve learned so much from my sister.  You will never hear her tooting her own horn over all the generous things that she’s done for others.

I know that today is a special one for her, being her birthday.  But, it’s also bittersweet.  Before our Pastor, Prophetess Mother A.B. Jackson, passed away in 2012, she always called and sang Happy Birthday to my sister.  This was always the best present that she received.  Our brother in law, Zary Duhart, also called and sang for her.  He passed away in 2015.  She told me just recently how much this had meant to her.  “Those were good times,” she said.  “I really miss them!”

Regina, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t stop and pray for you.  We have memories that will go with us to the grave.  You have always meant the world to me.  Your dedication to what you do is admirable.  You are one smart business woman.  But, even in saying all of this, what I love most is that you are my sister and my friend.  Even distance couldn’t separate our bond.  That’s all because of the love we share for Christ.  The many programs that we did at church.  The times we spent with Mother A.B. Jackson.  Yes, we know each other well!  You have been such a blessing in my life.  You are truly a blessing from God, and many can attest to that!  What a glorious day it was when you were born!  You have shown such love, kindness, and generosity to so many.  What a crown of righteousness that awaits you in Heaven!  And if you listen closely you can still hear Mother Jackson and Zary singing to you from there, with the biggest smiles on their faces.  The tears that hits your cheeks are the sweet perfume of prayers still being sent down from them, and from our father, Charlie Swarn.  Look up now, and smile, because you are still so greatly loved on this special day!

Happy Birthday to you
