"And Moses said to the people, Fear you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom you have seen to day, you shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace"
Exodus 14: 13-14
The word of the LORD came to me this morning that "I will fight for you just hold your peace." What a great consolation from God to know that I need not worry because He fights on my behalf. When you feel as if you are trapped between the Devil and the Red Sea realize who is fighting for you. It is easy to start focusing on all our problems. This is what Satan wants. He wants to make you feel that you are defeated and therefore put all sorts of ideas and thoughts in your head that you are all alone and that nobody cares. The Devil is the father of lies. When he comes whispering these things to you the only way to defeat him is with the word of God.
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"
2 Corinthians 10: 4-5
There may be times when you feel you walk alone and that no one else could possibly understand what you're going through. But, there is someone who understands. Jesus Christ knows and sees all. In these moments it's good to just get alone and meditate on His Word and soon you will hear Him speak and your soul will be healed. It's the Devil's job to beat us down and try to get us to doubt God. You have heard the saying of "playing the Devil's advocate". Realize that Satan plants people and things just at the right moments you are going through your storms to try and get you to doubt what the LORD has already said. That's why it is so important to get rooted and grounded in the Word of God. Be still and know that God fights all your battles.
Don't stop praying. Don't stop running. Don't stop fighting. You must keep moving forward. Even the Red Sea couldn't contain the Almighty God. There are no problems you are facing that can stand against God. Just keep your eyes focused on Jesus for He controls all your storms. Stay in the boat and don't jump ship. You will hear Him speaking to the winds and waves, "Peace Be Still".
Friends, I want to encourage you today to realize that the LORD understands better than any of us ever could. Sometimes it's not good to tell anybody but Him. If you are faced with anything today that seem to be overwhelming you then why not trust that there is someone fighting on your behalf and His name is Jesus. Don't give in to the lies of the Devil for he has already been defeated. The LORD fights your battles. You need only be still.
