GIVING YOUR ALL TO JESUS

"And Jesus sat opposite the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury:  and many that were rich cast in much.  And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.  And He called to Him His disciples, and says to them, "Verily I say to you, that this poor widow has cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:  For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living""
Mark 12: 41-44

This morning during my prayer the LORD laid this Scripture upon my heart about the widow who cast in the two mites into the treasury and it took on a whole different meaning to me and I will pose this question to you?  What is the best thing that you could ever give to God?  I know that there will be different answers to this question, but as for me, as I laid there and cried out in tears to my LORD I said to Him, "Jesus, I offer to you my whole body, soul, mind, and all that I have".  I raised my hands to the LORD and I said to Him, "Jesus, I give to you my life.  Use me for Your glory.  I'm putting in everything that I personally own".  This may make no sense to many of you, but to me it became abundantly clear that having a relationship with the LORD Jesus is the best we could ever give to Him.  Giving of our abundance in riches could never measure what we could offer by giving to Jesus a life of service and obedience to Him.

"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets""
Matthew 22: 36-40

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world:  but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God"
Romans 12: 1-2

"And Samuel said, Has the LORD as great delight in burned offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD?  Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams"
I Samuel 15:22

So you see, what God desires most from us is obedience in serving Him and giving of our whole selves to Him.  Nothing could ever be more important than that.  It's perfectly fine to give of our material wealth, but our own personal relationship and commitment to Him is far greater.  There is no monetary value that could ever equal that.  When you set aside time each day to pray and meditate on His Word you are giving much more than you could ever give from your pocket.  As I so often do,  I would like to encourage you to make some time daily to feast at the table of Jesus Christ.  Begin today by setting aside some time for prayer and bible study.  As I have found out it is the most important meal of the day.  When I start my day off with prayer and study it sets in motion the wheels for my entire day.  I know that no matter what I may face that day that God has already given me the victory.  All battles in this life are won on our knees.  This is the only way to fight Satan.  When you give your all to Jesus He will give His all for you.

I would love to hear from you.  Write to me at dailymannafromheaven@gmail.com  and send any prayer requests.
